Responsibilities
- Design and develop a rule-based, retrieval-based, or LLM-powered chatbot for users navigating Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Embed the chatbot interface into the existing React.js portal while preserving functionality and performance.
- Integrate the chatbot with Power BI Embedded, the Power BI JavaScript SDK, Power BI REST APIs, and Row-Level Security.
- Connect chatbot services to Databricks and AWS data sources including S3, Redshift, Athena, and Glue.
- Integrate LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, and Anthropic Claude where required.
- Implement conversational flows, intent recognition, entity extraction, and context management.
- Develop a responsive, accessible chatbot widget compatible with major browsers.
- Write clean, maintainable, documented code and collaborate with backend engineers and Power BI report owners.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of overall software development experience with hands-on React.js experience.
- Strong proficiency in React.js, including hooks, component architecture, and Redux or Context API state management.
- Experience with Power BI Embedded, the Power BI JavaScript SDK, REST APIs, and Row-Level Security.
- Hands-on experience building chatbots or conversational AI interfaces using Microsoft Bot Framework, Dialogflow, Rasa, or LLM-based approaches.
- Familiarity with Node.js or similar backend technologies.
- Experience connecting applications to Databricks and AWS data sources, including S3, Redshift, Athena, and Glue.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and managing authentication with OAuth2, Azure AD, AWS IAM, or similar mechanisms.
- Understanding of NLP concepts including intent recognition and entity extraction.
- Experience with OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or Anthropic is a strong advantage.
- Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and asynchronous programming.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of the maritime domain is an advantage.
