Responsibilities
- Collaborate across the organization to understand and translate business priorities into shipped features.
- Generate clean, efficient, and well-documented software following industry best practices.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Develop, test, and deploy high-quality software with minimum supervision.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Contribute to OpenGov’s Engineering culture of innovation and quality.
Requirements
- Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth, ambiguous environment.
- Experience gathering and incorporating feedback from users and stakeholders.
- Experience working across the stack (frontend + backend) and shipping features end-to-end.
- Experience building with AI-driven UX, agents, and workflow automation.
- BA/BS in a computer-science-related discipline or equivalent experience required.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of data structure and algorithms.
