Base Salary
$140k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, maintain, and provide Tier 3 support for enterprise database, storage, and network storage systems supporting DIA mission systems.
- Install patches and perform database and storage platform updates, lifecycle maintenance, capacity planning, and storage optimization.
- Implement and support replication, backup, restore, disaster recovery, business continuity, and high-availability solutions.
- Troubleshoot storage, replication, performance, and availability issues across LAN and WAN environments and perform data recovery operations.
- Monitor system performance, integrity, and availability to prevent outages and data loss.
- Provide technical recommendations for storage upgrades, infrastructure enhancements, project integrations, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and recovery plans.
- Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity, data protection, and operational requirements.
- Participate in after-hours, on-call, or emergency support as required.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
- At least 8 years of experience supporting enterprise database and storage systems in DoD or Intelligence Community environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Database Engineering, or a related technical discipline, with equivalent experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Strong knowledge of database engineering and administration, NAS, SAN, and enterprise storage architectures.
- Experience with data replication, backup, restore, disaster recovery, business continuity, storage troubleshooting, and performance analysis.
- Experience providing Tier 3 engineering support for large-scale, mission-critical, or Intelligence Community information systems.
- Familiarity with patch management, system updates, lifecycle maintenance, COOP, and high-availability architectures.
- Ability to analyze performance and recommend scalable storage and infrastructure solutions.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Preferred: CompTIA Security+ CE, vendor-specific database certifications such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or PostgreSQL, storage or infrastructure certifications such as NetApp, Dell EMC, or VMware, and CompTIA Server+ or Network+.
