Responsibilities
- Implement, operate, and continuously improve core security platforms and controls.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned security solutions, including their roadmaps, integrations, and operational performance.
- Participate in global 24/7 security operations, including rotational weekend coverage, incident response, troubleshooting, and escalation handling.
- Design and implement security controls and technologies that strengthen cyber resilience.
- Build observability, monitoring, alerting, and operational visibility for security solutions.
- Automate and scale security solutions and processes across hybrid, multicloud, and on-premises environments.
- Manage security changes and maintain operational runbooks, playbooks, and procedures.
- Partner with engineering, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to embed scalable security controls.
- Contribute to security policies, standards, and best practices.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in security engineering or a closely related role.
- Strong hands-on experience with firewalls, EDR, identity solutions, vulnerability management platforms, SASE, CASB, proxies, SIEM, security analytics, cloud security controls, and automated security platforms.
- Strong foundations in networking, operating systems, cloud platforms, and security engineering concepts.
- Understanding of network protocols across multiple layers and experience protecting data and assets at network and platform layers.
- Production experience operating security controls and security operations capabilities.
- Ability to analyze network traffic and troubleshoot complex issues using tcpdump and Wireshark.
- Understanding of offensive security, attack behavior, and security control failure modes.
- Experience identifying and responding to threats in distributed environments where availability, stability, or performance may be affected.
- Programming or scripting ability in at least one high-level language, with an emphasis on automation and operational efficiency.
- Experience securing Windows and Linux systems.
- Extensive experience with one or more public cloud platforms, such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Alibaba Cloud, particularly in hybrid environments.
- In-depth knowledge of threat modeling, risk assessment, and mitigation for large-scale complex systems.
- Strong ownership, accountability, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with low-latency or performance-sensitive financial systems is advantageous.
