Base Salary

$104k - $155k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and integrate prototype software capabilities for missile-defense applications.
  • Perform full-cycle software engineering, including design, implementation, deployment, integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop Java or other object-oriented software using appropriate principles and patterns.
  • Apply systems-engineering concepts to inform software design.
  • Support application deployment across Windows and Unix/Linux platforms.
  • Use Eclipse IDE, Maven, Git/GitLab, Python, and Ansible for builds, version control, and configuration management.
  • Create and manage Bash scripts to automate build and testing processes.
  • Develop automated tests with JUnit, Mockito, and other test frameworks while maintaining repeatable test artifacts and coverage.
  • Adapt to changing requirements, novel design challenges, fast-paced work, and tight deadlines.
  • Travel approximately 10% of the time for business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related field plus five years of experience; or a related master’s degree plus three years of relevant experience; or nine years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Current, active Government-issued 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher, such as Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, or CND, required at application and throughout the contract period.
  • Current, active, in-scope Government-issued Secret security clearance required at application and to start.
  • Experience with Java or another object-oriented programming language and object-oriented development principles.
  • Experience with Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems and application deployment, integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Preferred: three years of hands-on Java development in a secure or defense-related environment.
  • Preferred: strong command of Spring, including Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Boot.
  • Preferred: Linux experience and experience with software testing and analysis tools.
  • Preferred: knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
