Base Salary
$104k - $155k/yr
Responsibilities
- Perform full-cycle software engineering for new capabilities.
- Develop software using Java or another object-oriented language.
- Apply object-oriented development principles and patterns and basic systems engineering concepts.
- Deploy, integrate, and troubleshoot applications across Windows and Unix/Linux platforms.
- Use Eclipse IDE, Maven, Git/GitLab, Python, and Ansible for build, version control, and configuration management.
- Create and manage Bash scripts to automate build and testing processes.
- Develop automated tests with JUnit, Mockito, and other automated test frameworks while maintaining test coverage.
- Support prototype development and integration for sensor/weapon integration, algorithm development, and user interface capabilities.
- Travel approximately 10% of the time for business needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related field plus 5 years of experience; or a related master’s degree plus 3 years of relevant experience; or 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Current, active Government-issued 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher, such as Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, or CND.
- Current, active in-scope Government-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application.
- Experience with Java or another object-oriented language and object-oriented development principles and patterns.
- Experience deploying, integrating, and troubleshooting applications across Windows and Unix/Linux platforms.
- Experience with software testing and analysis tools, automated test frameworks, and repeatable test artifacts.
- Preferred: 3 years of hands-on Java development in a secure or defense-related environment.
- Preferred: strong command of Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Boot.
- Preferred: knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities and comfort with changing requirements, novel design challenges, fast-paced work, and tight deadlines.
