Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and support high-quality, scalable, maintainable, and secure software solutions.
- Develop and support enterprise payment applications, APIs, integration components, and core payments-engine solutions.
- Work with ISO, MT, and MX payment messages and payment networks or schemes including SWIFT, SEPA, CHAPS, and TARGET2.
- Participate in solution design, code reviews, unit testing, integration, debugging, production support, and CI/CD activities.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, technical stakeholders, and business stakeholders.
- Contribute to infrastructure and deployment pipelines, secure coding practices, risk controls, and continuous improvement.
- Guide or support team members and contribute to knowledge sharing and technical communities.
Requirements
- Hands-on development experience with a core payments engine; GPP product experience is a plus.
- Strong C++ and Java development skills building, enhancing, and supporting enterprise applications.
- Experience with APIs, integration components, and large-scale complex integration programs or projects in the payments ecosystem.
- Experience with ISO, MT, and MX payment messages; SWIFT, SEPA, CHAPS, or TARGET2 experience is valued.
- Hands-on experience in Agile delivery environments, including design, development, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.
- Exposure to middleware technologies, messaging systems such as MQ and Kafka, and multi-technology-stack environments.
- Good SQL and Unix/Linux skills, with experience in CI/CD pipelines, Groovy, Python, code debugging, data analysis, and production support.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to apply technical expertise, resolve problems, manage risk and controls, and influence decisions within the area of expertise.
