
Software Engineer - Android Framework Developer

- Analyze requirements and realize functionality in the Android Automotive domain.
- Develop and own multiple modules and components in the Android Automotive System.
- Implement Android Automotive OS platform features and customer-facing connected infotainment features.
- Deliver software for integration and ensure feature traceability, consistency, and maturity.
- Implement test strategies, conduct pre-integration testing and verification, and document results.
- Triage and resolve defects and dependencies with other technical domains.
- Write unit tests for developed Android modules.
- Mentor less experienced team members and assist them with task completion.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering.
- 3 to 5 years of experience developing Android Automotive Systems, including at least 3 years modifying Android framework components, system services, and the Android SDK.
- Expert knowledge of the Android Framework, AOSP platform architecture, and the Android build system.
- Good understanding of Android Automotive System and Car Framework, including Services, Broadcast Receivers, Content Providers, and Treble Architecture.
- Proficiency in Java or Kotlin and object-oriented programming.
- Expertise in at least one in-vehicle infotainment domain, such as connectivity, multimedia, virtual personal assistants, EVS, cluster rendering, ADAS, navigation, automotive HMI, or Vehicle HAL.
- Understanding of Android best practices for system robustness and stability, Android porting or upgrading, Android middleware, and debugging techniques.
- Knowledge of Git, GTest, SVN, and Tortoise configuration tools.
- Working knowledge of CDD, GAS documents, and Google compliance testing such as CTS, VTS, STS, and ACTS is preferred.
- Experience with CANoe and automation of integration tasks using Shell or Python is preferred.
- Strong communication and English-language skills.
