Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, support, and operate scalable cloud-native applications and services.
- Build backend solutions with Java and Spring Boot and modern user interfaces with React and TypeScript.
- Design REST APIs and integrations with Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket, SonarQube, Workday, Backstage, and related developer platforms.
- Improve developer productivity through automation, self-service capabilities, platform standardization, and plugin-based architectures.
- Define testing strategies covering unit, integration, functional, and end-to-end testing and embed automated testing into delivery pipelines.
- Lead benchmarking, load testing, capacity planning, performance optimization, troubleshooting, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and postmortems.
- Apply secure coding, regulatory, compliance, observability, monitoring, reliability, and operational excellence practices.
- Lead code reviews, mentor engineers, solve complex technical problems, and contribute to technical roadmaps and engineering guild initiatives.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing scalable software systems using object-oriented design, modern architecture patterns, and cloud-native practices.
- Proficient software development and system design experience with ownership of large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, testing strategies, operability engineering, data structures and algorithms, and troubleshooting distributed systems.
- Advanced hands-on experience in performance engineering, system optimization, secure coding, application security, code reviews, and engineering quality standards.
- Advanced proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java or C# and frontend development using React and/or TypeScript.
- Experience with extensible software architectures, APIs, plugins, event-driven patterns, developer-tool integrations, and data-driven user interfaces.
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying cloud-native software using AWS, Kubernetes, and containerized architectures.
- Proficient experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code using Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Experience with observability platforms such as Splunk or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent communication and technical leadership skills, including the ability to mentor engineers across teams.

- The listed US base salary range for O’Fallon, Missouri is $115,000–$184,000, with potential annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
