Base Salary
$92k - $147k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and support Java/Spring Boot microservices for the Notification Manager platform.
- Implement enhancements, new features, and defect fixes across backend services.
- Develop automated unit, integration, and API tests.
- Contribute to Kafka-based event-driven architecture, service decomposition, resiliency improvements, performance optimization, and cloud-native deployment.
- Participate in production support, incident response, root cause analysis, system monitoring, troubleshooting, release activities, and production readiness.
- Collaborate with Product, TPMs, architects, QA, PMTs, and partner engineering teams on roadmap delivery.
- Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, engineering practices, and mentoring of junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 2–5 years of software development experience.
- Experience developing applications with Java and Spring Boot.
- Understanding of REST APIs and microservice architectures.
- Familiarity with messaging or event-driven systems.
- Experience with source control, code reviews, CI/CD practices, SQL, and relational databases.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, independent execution, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience with Kafka, MQ, cloud platforms, PCF/Tanzu, Kubernetes, containerized workloads, distributed systems, observability tools, automated testing frameworks, PCI or regulatory requirements, and high-volume transaction processing.
