Base Salary
$92k - $147k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and deploy Java/Spring Boot microservices.
- Implement enhancements, new features, defect fixes, and automated unit, integration, and API tests.
- Contribute to Kafka-based event-driven architectures, distributed processing, service decomposition, resiliency improvements, and cloud-native deployment practices.
- Participate in technical design, architecture, code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
- Support production operations through incident response, root cause analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting, release activities, and production readiness efforts.
- Analyze and improve throughput, latency, scalability, resource utilization, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with Product, TPMs, QA, architects, and partner engineering teams, and assist with mentoring junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 2–5 years of software development experience.
- Experience developing applications with Java and Spring Boot.
- Understanding of REST APIs, microservice architectures, messaging or event-driven systems, software design principles, object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with source control, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, independent execution, and collaborative communication skills.
- Preferred: experience with Kafka, MQ, cloud platforms, PCF/Tanzu, Kubernetes, containerized workloads, distributed systems, resiliency, fault tolerance, scalability, performance optimization, Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, automated testing, PCI or regulatory requirements, and high-volume transaction processing.
