Responsibilities
- Own features across the complete product lifecycle, including scoping, development, shipping, and production monitoring.
- Build and optimize full-stack functionality across CoinDesk’s web platform, mobile applications, and services layer.
- Collaborate directly with product managers, UX designers, editorial stakeholders, and other non-engineering partners.
- Implement progressive rollouts, automated CI/CD pipelines, observability, and secure operational practices.
- Optimize web performance through server-side rendering, caching, and Core Web Vitals improvements.
- Develop automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing using Playwright and Maestro.
- Use AI tools such as Claude Code, Open Code, and open-source models in software development and identify opportunities for internal workflow tooling.
- Integrate secure identity systems such as Auth0 across client and server boundaries.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience shipping production-grade software.
- Deep hands-on experience with Next.js, React, TypeScript, Node.js, RESTful APIs, and content management platforms.
- Advanced knowledge of server-side rendering, modern caching patterns, and Core Web Vitals optimization.
- Experience implementing automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Practical experience managing CI/CD pipelines and embedding software security best practices.
- Hands-on experience integrating secure identity systems across client and server boundaries.
- Strong communication skills and experience translating product vision into maintainable technical solutions.
- Preferred experience with React Native, Expo, Sanity or other headless CMS platforms, Google Ad Manager, Stripe, Amplitude, HubSpot, Google Cloud Platform, GCP Cloud Functions, Terraform, Bun, Elysia, and Redis.
