Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and monitor cloud-native applications and services in AWS.
- Build solutions for device registration, connectivity, lifecycle management, and cloud integration.
- Develop backend services and user-facing applications across the full stack.
- Collaborate with product managers, delivery managers, engineers, and cross-functional partners on planning, estimation, and solution design.
- Contribute to proof-of-concepts, technical spikes, code reviews, and exploration of new technologies.
- Champion automated testing, performance validation, secure coding, and CI/CD practices.
- Define and monitor product success metrics and operational performance indicators.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code and contribute to resilient, fault-tolerant system architectures.
- Support production applications and own products through design, delivery, operation, and continuous improvement.
- Identify problems, evaluate options, deliver practical solutions, and mentor interns and early-career engineers.
Requirements
- Experience developing applications with Java, Python, and React.
- Strong understanding of software design patterns, algorithms, and engineering fundamentals.
- Experience building secure, scalable, fault-tolerant cloud-native applications.
- Experience with Amazon MQ, SQS, SNS, or EventBridge and event-driven systems.
- Experience with Kubernetes and container-based architectures.
- Experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and Docker.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or Puppet.
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools such as GitHub and Jenkins.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Strong debugging, testing, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience with observability and monitoring platforms such as DataDog, CloudWatch, or Splunk.
- Commitment to secure coding and resolving security vulnerabilities.
- Experience using AI tools to improve engineering delivery while maintaining quality, traceability, and engineering standards.
- AWS Developer or DevOps certification is a nice-to-have.
- Experience with Kafka, EventBridge, Timestream, modern test automation tools, AI/ML technologies, or regulated medical and healthcare environments is a plus.
