Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable, secure Salesforce applications and platform features for enterprise use cases.
- Develop with Apex, Force.com, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, Aura Components, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Design complex Salesforce data models and work with relational databases, security models, sharing, roles, and permission sets.
- Build and maintain REST and SOAP integrations, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, and distributed system interactions.
- Implement asynchronous processing, optimize SOQL, respect Salesforce governor limits, and improve platform performance.
- Use CI/CD pipelines, version control, automated testing, and release-management practices.
- Lead and influence application and platform design, improve engineering standards, and mentor junior engineers.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, business, and other stakeholders while communicating status, risks, and technical solutions.
- Use and evaluate AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, documentation, code review, refactoring, and test generation in accordance with security, governance, and privacy standards.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of programming experience with Apex, Java, or other object-oriented programming languages for the MTS level.
- At least 8 years of industry software engineering experience with strong hands-on Salesforce or Force.com development experience for the SMTS level.
- General Salesforce Platform and platform architecture experience.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, Salesforce security architecture, and enterprise-scale Salesforce development.
- Experience with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, Aura Components, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, data modeling, relational databases, and Salesforce integrations.
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, asynchronous processing, SOQL optimization, governor limits, and performance tuning.
- Experience designing scalable, secure Salesforce applications and working with event-driven architectures and distributed systems.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, automated testing, and release management.
- Ability to lead technical design, influence direction, mentor junior engineers, solve complex problems, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted developer tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering, AI-assisted software development, generative AI capabilities, and responsible AI practices involving security, governance, and data privacy.
