Base Salary
$171k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert on ML algorithms, frameworks, techniques, and optimizations.
- Conduct experiments and benchmarks involving AI, LLM, and agentic techniques, including model and system tuning.
- Develop Python code for proof-of-concept experiments and production-ready solutions.
- Productionize and integrate machine learning and generative AI solutions within the ML platform.
- Optimize accuracy and performance by identifying and resolving system inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, data, and ML teams to deliver business-focused solutions.
- Drive decisions affecting product design, application functionality, and technical operations.
- Mentor engineers and ML practitioners and raise technical standards through strong engineering practices.
Requirements
- MS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of applied machine learning experience.
- At least 5 years of experience with a programming language such as Python, Java, or C/C++; intermediate Python proficiency is required.
- At least 5 years of experience applying data science and ML techniques to business problems.
- Strong knowledge of LLMs and agentic applied science, including multi-agent orchestration, reasoning, skills, and tools.
- Experience with applied research and experimentation in machine learning and deep learning, including LLMs and generative AI.
- Deep expertise in PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Experience with GPU optimization, fine-tuning, embedding models, inference, prompt engineering, evaluation, RAG, reasoning, context management, and agentic capabilities.
- Preferred experience with distributed training frameworks, search and ranking, recommender systems, graph techniques, multi-agent orchestration, evaluation, and benchmarking.
- Preferred advanced knowledge of reinforcement learning or meta-learning.
- Preferred experience deploying ML models on AWS and tools such as SageMaker and EKS.
- Ability to complete projects with limited supervision and demonstrate leadership when working with engineers, product managers, and ML practitioners.
