Responsibilities
- Design and develop new software features and maintain existing features.
- Analyze bug reports and develop software fixes across multiple platforms.
- Work with the Engineering Manager and geographically distributed teams to understand product requirements and features.
- Own core product architecture and help unblock the engineering organization.
- Contribute to and validate product documentation.
- Assist with performance tuning for specific environments.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree/experience.
- 14+ years of software development experience in Linux environments.
- Hands-on experience with Rust and Bash scripting.
- Linux experience is mandatory.
- Experience with enterprise-class or HPC storage systems and/or distributed systems is a bonus.
- Experience with JIRA, Jenkins, Gerrit, Git, and GitHub is preferred.
- Strong communication, teamwork, self-starting, time management, prioritization, multitasking, and deadline-management skills.
