Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust, high-performance, scalable application software using C++.
- Participate in a Scrum engineering team delivering features for video surveillance and security platforms and appliances.
- Design, create, maintain, and deliver code and scripts for an embedded Linux environment.
- Apply object-oriented patterns to concurrent, networked software components.
- Learn and apply software coding, testing, and automation best practices.
Requirements
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate university program.
- Be pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Demonstrate C++ design and programming ability, including C++11 and C++14 features.
- Have strong knowledge of multithreaded operating systems, performance, applications, and related concepts.
- Have knowledge of IP networking applications and concepts.
- Have academic or job-related experience developing software in a Linux environment.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include digital video/audio codec and standards knowledge, Boost experience, Go or Python experience, Linux kernel and device-driver experience, and The Yocto Project experience.
