Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and architect enterprise-grade payment-processing platforms for domestic and international wire transfers.
- Modernize payment orchestration, message routing, real-time status APIs, and integrations with compliance, settlement, and reporting systems.
- Translate business and regulatory requirements into technical architectures, system designs, and solution specifications.
- Define interfaces, APIs, data models, and integration patterns across core payment systems, middleware, messaging, event streaming, and external networks.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, and third-party products for the payment-processing ecosystem.
- Guide development teams through code-level design decisions, architecture reviews, and implementation patterns for distributed service-oriented applications.
- Use Java and J2EE for backend development and enterprise application architecture.
- Prepare and review functional, integration, and system test cases and support testing, validation, and integration activities.
- Analyze and resolve technical issues, manage defects, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend system enhancements.
- Collaborate with product, operations, compliance, and infrastructure teams to meet resiliency, scalability, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate architecture decisions to stakeholders and leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science.
- Five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as a Solutions Architect, Technology Analyst, or in a related role.
- Five years of experience gathering and analyzing functional, non-functional, regulatory, and integration requirements for enterprise payment-processing systems.
- Five years of experience creating high- and low-level design artifacts, conducting system and object-oriented analysis, participating in design reviews, and performing quality checks.
- Five years of experience preparing and reviewing payment-application test cases, conducting unit and integration testing, tracking defects, performing root-cause analysis, and resolving post-implementation issues.
- Five years of experience with Java backend application development, J2EE enterprise Java frameworks and architectures, Spring, Hibernate, UNIX, Maven, and JUnit.
- Experience with system integration and the software development life cycle.
- Must comply with applicable background checks, regulatory requirements, and U.S. Bank policies and procedures.
