Responsibilities
- Lead analysis and resolution of complex, cross-functional tools and software problems.
- Serve as the primary technical expert and consultant for Geo teams, managers, and clients.
- Partner with engineering teams to define bug reporting and tracking processes and drive critical issue resolution.
- Plan and coordinate tool updates and releases while assessing potential risks.
- Create and manage testing plans for new features and fixes before global deployment.
- Write high-quality code and establish coding standards for tools.
- Design and launch tools and dashboards that improve operational efficiency.
- Deploy and integrate AI-based solutions into existing tools and new operational workflows.
- Provide technical solutions for complex software issues on Linux and Windows systems.
- Create and operate advanced-support processes for technical bugs and performance issues, including root-cause resolution.
- Implement FME-based solutions and manage ESRI Enterprise.
Requirements
- 7–8 years of experience in a similar domain involving large-scale geographic data products and technical leadership.
- Experience with prompt engineering, cloud and command-line interfaces, and implementing AI solutions.
- Working knowledge of LLM APIs and retrieval-augmented generation for identifying automation opportunities and evaluating product feasibility.
- Experience implementing FME-based solutions and managing ESRI Enterprise.
- Advanced GIS experience, including spatial analysis and data pipeline integration; ArcGIS Desktop/Server experience is preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Required experience with JavaScript or other relevant front-end/tooling languages.
- At least a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to rapidly learn and integrate complex technologies and influence technical and non-technical stakeholders through executive level.
- Expert structured problem-solving skills, attention to detail, independent initiative, mentoring ability, and the capacity to provide technical leadership during production challenges and tool deployments.
- Experience with GitHub and machine learning platforms such as Vertex AI.
