Base Salary

$172k - $215k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Hire, onboard, coach, retain, and develop the Solutions Engineering team across the SLED Top 1200 segment.
  • Set standards for demos, trial plans, site assessments, customer documentation, and technical quality.
  • Own team capacity, territory coverage, technical win strategy, and escalations for critical pursuits, deployments, and customer issues.
  • Partner with Sales leadership on pipeline, forecasting, account planning, deal strategy, quota ownership, and land-and-expand programs.
  • Systematize demos, site assessments, proof-of-concept design, reference architectures, enablement content, and reusable technical assets.
  • Guide CAD and dispatch, video and evidence management, streaming platforms, BVLOS approvals, waivers, COAs, and docked-operations integrations.
  • Maintain expertise in public-sector procurement, cooperative contracts, grant-funded programs, and agency buying cycles.
  • Translate field observations into prioritized product and engineering requirements while maintaining hands-on product knowledge.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant technical experience, including customer-facing solutions, field, or applications engineering experience.
  • At least 1 year leading a technical team formally or as a technical lead with hiring and mentorship responsibility; first-time managers may be considered.
  • Strong understanding of drone technology, Public Safety sUAS operations, regulatory compliance, Drone as First Responder concepts, and dock-based remote operations.
  • Working knowledge of public-safety technologies including CAD, VMS, and related software platforms, with the ability to lead integration discussions.
  • Demonstrated success hiring, onboarding, developing, and retaining technical personnel.
  • Experience operating within a Sales organization, including quota ownership, deal strategy, and technical-resource prioritization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication across operator, program-manager, and executive audiences.
  • Prior sworn public-safety service, firefighter experience, agency UAS leadership, grant-funding knowledge, cooperative purchasing experience, and experience scaling technical teams are preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Palantir, Databricks, or equivalent tools is preferred.
  • Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time and lift up to 60 pounds unaided.
  • Obtaining FAA Part 107 certification within the first 60 days is strongly encouraged and required for certain positions.

  • Annual base salary range of $172,000-$215,000 plus commission, with equity in the form of stock options.
