Base Salary
$140k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and operate complex distributed systems across Engagement Intelligence and Chorus Platform.
- Build high-volume Kafka streaming services processing millions of engagement data points per day.
- Design real-time systems that map customer engagements to CRM entities.
- Develop Java microservices integrated with data storage solutions.
- Build and own Python backend services and RESTful APIs handling millions of customer requests per day.
- Develop third-party integrations with conferencing providers using their SDKs.
- Own customer-facing product functionality from design through production operation.
- Drive cross-domain architectural decisions involving data modeling, service boundaries, and performance optimization.
- Promote engineering practices including design documentation, code review, monitoring, and observability.
- Mentor and train engineers across both technical domains.
- Serve as a technical point of contact who translates ambiguous product needs into concrete systems.
Requirements
- 7+ years of industry software development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Strong production experience with both Java and Python, including deep expertise in one and working proficiency in the other.
- 3+ years of experience building distributed systems and microservices at scale.
- 3+ years of experience with streaming data platforms, with Kafka strongly preferred.
- 4+ years of cloud experience with AWS or GCP.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL stores, including Mongo and Elasticsearch.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design standards and event-driven architecture.
- Experience with CI/CD, package management, and release cycles.
- Strong architectural design skills while remaining hands-on.
- Excellent English communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated leadership through mentoring, independent project ownership, and initiative.
- Bonus: experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Kafka Streams, Kafka Connect, Spring Boot, conferencing SDKs, data pipeline orchestration, monitoring and observability tooling, data modeling, or B2B, sales intelligence, and conversation intelligence domains.
