Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, troubleshoot, upgrade, and maintain complex application systems.
- Write efficient, testable code and develop software verification plans, quality assurance procedures, test plans, test data, and test-automation suites.
- Gather requirements and prepare BRD/SRD documentation, flowcharts, layouts, and technical solution documentation.
- Integrate software components, participate in code reviews, and support deployment under required change controls.
- Provide ongoing application support, enhancements, technical debt management, and continuous-improvement recommendations.
- Apply security and privacy principles throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with data engineers, business users, project managers, and other engineers to deliver shared team objectives.
- Mentor junior engineers, promote reuse of existing functionality, and contribute to team and area objectives.
- Complete required training and use learning tools such as Pluralsight for professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- 2–6 years of software development experience.
- Experience developing both front-end and back-end software and thorough knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of C#, Java, HTML, Node.js, CSS, JSON, Angular, JavaScript, application frameworks, and containerization.
- Knowledge of cross-platform interoperability, major platform toolkits, and features of multiple toolkits.
- Experience resolving hardware, software, and communications malfunctions and understanding their business impact.
- Strong teamwork and organizational skills.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
