Responsibilities

  • Lead complex, companywide technology initiatives and establish engineering standards and best practices.
  • Design, code, test, debug, document, and review complex large-scale technology solutions.
  • Architect and engineer secure cyber data and analytics platforms supporting threat intelligence, vulnerability management, threat detection, operational resilience, and exposure management.
  • Lead cloud architecture and engineering across Azure and GCP while ensuring data modeling, governance, platform reliability, and secure handling of cyber telemetry.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity architecture, platform engineering, data science, senior technical teams, and external industry groups.
  • Lead projects and teams, mentor peers, and translate security and business requirements into production-ready solutions.
  • Use AI-assisted development and analysis tools to accelerate design, coding, testing, analysis, and troubleshooting while validating outputs and managing model, security, compliance, privacy, and ethical risks.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of software engineering experience or equivalent experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • At least 5 years of experience with a modern programming language such as Python, Java, C/C++, Go, or Rust.
  • At least 5 years of data and software engineering experience focused on information security, cyber defense, or security analytics platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience building or supporting security data platforms, analytics solutions, or solutions that aggregate and correlate data from multiple security tools.
  • Experience with data lakes, data warehouses, hybrid data architectures, data modeling, governance, databases, data platforms, and data processing frameworks such as Databricks.
  • Exposure to AI/ML or GenAI security and data use cases, data visualization, dashboards, UX/UI collaboration, and operational resilience in regulated environments.
  • Ability to translate high-level requirements into technical tasks and execution plans and to build secure, scalable cloud-native solutions across AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud.
  • Experience working in cloud environments and supporting migration from on-premises to cloud.
