Base Salary
$133k - $184k/yr
Responsibilities
- Contribute to and extend internal AI platforms such as Archimedes, Bosun, and easyRAG.
- Build reusable platform capabilities like APIs, SDKs, templates, and shared services.
- Prototype and productionize new AI capabilities alongside senior engineers.
- Apply and refine Chime's golden path patterns for LLM usage.
- Build features for standardized, observable, and governed AI-powered assistants.
- Learn and apply evaluation, observability, and cost-management practices across AI systems.
- Partner with Security, Risk, and Legal to implement responsible AI guardrails.
- Collaborate with engineers to embed AI into internal tools and workflows.
Requirements
- Experience as a software engineer with a track record of shipping production-quality features.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs or ML services, or a strong curiosity to learn.
- Solid coding skills in Python, Go, or TypeScript/JavaScript.
- An emerging platform mindset focused on reuse and building for multiple consumers.
- Familiarity with AI-specific engineering concerns like evaluation and data privacy.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills to explain technical tradeoffs.
