Responsibilities

  • Develop, integrate, and adapt AI/ML algorithms for perception autonomy across platform sensors.
  • Create software interfaces and autonomous controllers for EO, IR, acoustic, radar, and RF sensors.
  • Collaborate with sensor, tracking, and autonomy teams to deploy solutions during DoD testing and demonstrations.
  • Deploy containerized solutions to embedded Linux devices and perform computer-in-the-loop testing, profiling, and performance-data collection.
  • Work with DoD customers to understand use cases and requirements, triage field-event needs, and deliver customer solutions.
  • Triage technical issues, document progress, and communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers.
  • Develop simulation tooling to replay sensor, platform, and autonomy data for post-processing field-test analysis.
  • Use simulation results and customer feedback to improve future integration efforts.

Requirements

  • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotic Engineering, Computer Science, Optimization, or an equivalent qualification, or 5+ years of relevant experience with sensor algorithms, hardware, and HIL software integration.
  • Experience with multiple sensor modalities such as EO, IR, lidar, radar, sonar, or acoustics, plus understanding of sensor physics and control parameters.
  • Experience training and deploying ML algorithms using Python, PyTorch, and TensorFlow onto integrated systems with ONNX and C++ models.
  • Familiarity with tracking fundamentals such as Kalman filters and optimal sensor fusion.
  • Comfort working in Linux and Docker, processing large datasets, and developing software remotely with limited supervision.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
  • Willingness to travel for software/hardware integration and demonstrations.
  • Preferred qualifications include modern C++ development, CMake, Python, Bash, robotic swarm or multi-agent systems, optimization, strong tracking and sensor-fusion experience, an AI/ML-focused PhD, and a current U.S. SECRET clearance.

Benefits

  • Full-time role with base salary, equity, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off.
  • Primarily in-office work five days per week, with occasional remote-work flexibility.
  • Estimated travel every 1–2 months for 2–5 days, typically 10–20%, for software/hardware integration and demonstrations.
