Base Salary
$174k - $252k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write and test product or system development code.
- Build an understanding of data collection, analysis, and visualization workflows.
- Improve ML software and hardware stacks through performance debugging of workloads and custom kernels.
- Analyze trace timelines, memory usage, compiler profiles, and ML graph summaries.
- Contribute across the end-to-end stack and analysis tools for new ML paradigms and upcoming TPU chips.
- Partner with product area leads to understand model optimization use cases and deliver chip profiling requirements.
- Propose new hardware features and collaborate with hardware, driver, runtime, and performance analysis teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
- At least 3 years of experience with performance, large-scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.
- At least 3 years of experience with computer architecture, C++, Python, CUDA, GPU programming, GPU drivers, system-on-chip, and application-specific integrated circuits.
- At least 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products and at least 1 year of software design and architecture experience.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree or PhD, 5 years of data structures and algorithms experience, and 1 year in a technical leadership role.
- Preferred experience includes GPU or TPU performance analysis, TensorFlow, JAX, PyTorch, XLA, and open-source software development.
