Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and improve APIs and backend services.
- Own features from conception through deployment and maintain technical documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teammates throughout development.
- Participate in proactive communication, documentation, and reporting.
- Manage the CI/CD pipeline.
- Automate manual processes.
- Collaborate with the team on architecture decisions.
Requirements
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- Six or more years of programming experience with Java or another object-oriented language such as C, C++, C#, or Python.
- Four or more years of experience designing, developing, and delivering microservices.
- Two or more years of experience leading and mentoring others.
- Experience with microservices architecture, domain-driven design, effective feature testing, and cross-functional feature-team development.
- Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms, software development best practices, system design, design patterns, reliability, and scalability.
- Understanding of messaging protocols, format standards, and languages including SOAP, REST, XML, JSON, HTML, GraphQL, and RPC.
- Experience working in an agile environment.
- Ability to learn core technologies quickly, balance code quality with delivery speed, collaborate effectively, communicate solutions, and solve problems.
