Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data processing solutions on GCP.
- Develop and optimize BigQuery datasets, tables, SQL queries, views, and data transformation processes.
- Build automation, data processing, validation, and integration components using Python.
- Develop backend applications and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Integrate Spring Boot services with cloud-based data platforms and upstream and downstream applications.
- Use GCP services including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Composer/Airflow, and IAM.
- Implement ETL/ELT processes for data ingestion, transformation, validation, and publishing.
- Perform query optimization and troubleshoot performance issues across BigQuery and application components.
- Implement data quality checks, exception handling, logging, monitoring, and production support mechanisms.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, application teams, and architects to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, deployment, and production support.
- Follow version-control, security, cloud-development, and CI/CD best practices.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience is required.
- At least 3 years of experience with Google BigQuery is required.
- Experience with Spring Boot is required.
- Java and GCP experience are listed as additional skills.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
