Responsibilities
- Provide production and on-call support for ETL platforms.
- Review business data requirements for database, application, data warehousing, integration, and reporting projects.
- Design, develop, enhance, and support ETL workflows and data systems using Informatica and other ETL technologies.
- Develop ETL code in Informatica and at the Unix shell-script level.
- Design, build, maintain, and optimize automated data ingestion and integration pipelines for batch and real-time processing.
- Implement data validation and quality checks to maintain data integrity.
- Monitor production jobs and pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, business stakeholders, and other IT teams to deliver data solutions and resolve issues.
- Assist with logical data modeling, development planning, and resource estimation.
- Document pipeline processes, configurations, and maintenance routines.
Requirements
- Proficiency with at least one ETL tool, such as Precisely or Informatica.
- Experience with Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica Cloud, Syncsort DMX-h, or SSIS.
- Knowledge of data lake, Databricks, LakeHouse, Delta format, and workflow concepts.
- Experience with PySpark, SQL, Unix, and Unix shell scripting.
- Strong understanding of ETL concepts, data analysis, data transformation, conceptual data modeling, data design, and metadata management.
- Strong SQL knowledge and familiarity with relational database management systems and mainframe environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with enterprise scheduling tools such as Control-M is a plus.
