Responsibilities
- Write production-quality software across core services, platforms, and AI workflows.
- Own high-impact features and complete project workstreams from discovery and solution design through delivery, launch, and post-launch follow-through.
- Design and implement agentic AI systems, LLM capabilities, AI processing pipelines, tool invocation, context and memory management, workflow orchestration, guardrails, and human oversight.
- Integrate AI systems with business workflows, APIs, data sources, datastores, and event-driven systems.
- Implement hallucination mitigation, evaluation, monitoring, and feedback loops for AI behavior in production.
- Modernize legacy systems and migrate them incrementally to scalable, cloud-native architectures.
- Design and evolve microservices, APIs, distributed systems, service boundaries, data ownership, and integration patterns.
- Set architectural standards, make tradeoffs across speed, scalability, correctness, reliability, and cost, and serve as a technical escalation point.
- Establish safe and effective AI-assisted development practices using tools for design, coding, refactoring, testing, debugging, documentation, and system comprehension.
- Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews and design discussions, and help develop broader technical leadership.
- Build and maintain SaaS applications, containerized services, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and production support processes.
- Coordinate cross-team dependencies, technical risks, delivery planning, stakeholder alignment, and launch readiness.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proven ownership and delivery of large, complex systems, including successful modernization of legacy systems and technology stacks.
- Hands-on experience designing, building, and shipping AI-driven and agentic AI systems in production or production-like environments.
- History of hands-on technical leadership across teams or domains, mentoring engineers, managing technical risks, and independently driving execution through delivery.
- Expert-level proficiency in C# and .NET, including ASP.NET Core and modern .NET.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, API design, microservices architectures, production-quality coding, and testing strategies.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, AI processing systems, agentic architectures, autonomous workflow execution, tool or function calling, context and memory management, and AI workflow orchestration.
- Experience integrating AI systems with relational databases, NoSQL stores, APIs, datastores, and event-driven workflows.
- Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Redis or comparable caching strategies, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience with Java, Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue, high-throughput or real-time AI systems, AI safety or governance frameworks, and Agile/Scrum environments.
