Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery conversations to qualify customer requirements and develop bills of materials aligned with desired outcomes.
- Conduct technical sales presentations, product demonstrations, and solution demonstrations for partners and customers.
- Explain SonicWall’s value proposition and competitive offerings.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with at least 10 channel partners and their technical decision-makers.
- Maintain a personal lab for demonstrations and professional development.
- Support remote partner product trials and lead partner or customer proof-of-concepts.
- Participate in beta testing and provide product feedback to product management teams.
- Collaborate with support teams to preserve partner and customer relationships.
- Support technical marketing initiatives, develop collateral, and present at virtual or external events.
- Develop expertise across 3–6 SonicWall product areas and serve as a regional subject-matter expert.
- Share best practices, support onboarding of new solutions engineers, and keep regional sales informed of product updates and roadmaps.
- Complete regional reporting and solution-engineering activities in accordance with company guidelines.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of experience in pre-sales, solutions engineering, or an equivalent role.
- Hands-on experience with cybersecurity products and strong technical communication, presentation, whiteboarding, solution-selling, and objection-handling skills.
- CISSP certification is desired.
- Microsoft Azure or AWS Associate certification is desired.
- SonicWall SNSA and SNSP certifications are desired; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with governance, compliance, and management/reporting requirements, including HIPAA, PCI, SOX, FERPA, CIPA, and GDPR.
- Experience with L2–L7 networking technologies and protocols, NAT, stateful firewalls, IDS/IPS, web and content filtering, proxies, endpoint security, SSE, SASE, cloud security, email security gateways, VPN, IPsec, SSL, encryption, PKI, key management, 802.11/WLAN, Syslog, NetFlow/IPFIX, Active Directory, LDAP, scripting, regular expressions, custom signatures, VMware, Hyper-V, AWS, and Azure.
- Experience with managed security services, XDR, or MDR is a plus.
