Base Salary
$157k - $202k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own growth engineering projects from concept through launch, including localization, referral logic, attribution systems, and tracking infrastructure.
- Build marketing-site landing pages, interactive tools, calculators, benchmarks, utility content, and conversion flows.
- Develop A/B testing infrastructure, programmatic SEO and AEO page generation, content management patterns, and reusable components.
- Set up experiments, validate results, and iterate based on usage and performance data.
- Maintain integrations with Segment, Google Tag Manager, Mixpanel, and BigQuery while upgrading dependencies and optimizing performance and accessibility.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and contribute to system health for buffer.com.
- Collaborate with marketing, design, and engineering teams through pairing, code review, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Strong frontend foundations in React, TypeScript, and modern web development, with the ability to write backend logic, build API routes, and connect third-party integrations.
- Experience with or demonstrated understanding of SEO, analytics, A/B testing, conversion optimization, referral systems, and growth experimentation.
- Ability to work across marketing, design, and engineering in a remote, asynchronous environment and explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience building AI into user-facing marketing features at scale and using AI tools in daily work.
- Personal familiarity with content creation, such as running a newsletter, building a social media audience, or sharing work online; prior Buffer use is valued.
- Adaptability to work with Next.js and related technologies, even if the candidate has not used Buffer's exact stack.
