Responsibilities
- Design and maintain high-throughput REST APIs and resilient Java/Spring Boot microservices.
- Build ETL, ingestion, validation, deduplication, reconciliation, and batch-processing pipelines for multiple upstream data sources.
- Design relational schemas, optimize SQL queries and indexes, and implement transactions, staging layers, and immutable audit logs using PostgreSQL or Oracle.
- Collaborate on React/TypeScript frontend integrations, data grids, curation drawers, and bulk Excel upload workflows.
- Use Devin, GitHub Copilot, and Cursor for prototyping, scaffolding, testing, and engineering productivity.
- Maintain automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, containerized services, and code quality practices.
- Mentor junior engineers, make architectural decisions, and collaborate with global distributed teams.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of hands-on software development experience focused on Java and Spring/Spring Boot.
- Strong experience with RESTful API design, microservice architecture, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Deep knowledge of relational databases, SQL, schema design, indexing, transactions, and performance tuning, especially PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL.
- Experience building data ingestion, transformation, or batch-processing pipelines.
- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, JUnit, Mockito, and Testcontainers.
- Experience with Git, Maven or Gradle, Jenkins or Tekton, Docker, and Linux.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong English communication skills and the ability to work independently across distributed teams.
- Understanding of secure coding, data governance, and enterprise security standards.
- React, TypeScript, frontend SPA development, Excel file processing, Devin or AI-assisted coding tools, and Kafka or MQ are preferred.
