Responsibilities
- Design and develop secure, maintainable, scalable, and extendable software systems for network automation.
- Automate network-device configuration generation, deployment, operating-system upgrades, monitoring, alerting, and remediation.
- Automate deployment of network gateways across network fabrics using infrastructure as code.
- Collaborate with internal customers and network, systems, and software engineering teams to gather requirements and roll out designs and products.
- Own solutions end to end, including design, development, testing, deployment, and iterative improvement.
- Mentor other engineers and contribute to automation supporting Amazon’s corporate, edge, data-center, and AWS-connected networks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
- Experience programming in at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
- Experience with Linux/Unix.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build processes.
- Deep knowledge of Python, software architecture, AWS products, DevOps patterns, and mature CI/CD processes.
- Preferred: experience with distributed systems at scale.
