Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer
InformaticaResponsibilities
- Develop and deploy AI agents and experiences for enterprise customers in production environments.
- Design prompts, reasoning, tool calls, and integrations using Salesforce’s agentic AI platform and current LLM techniques.
- Own technical components end-to-end, including architecture, deployment, validation, and production observability.
- Build and integrate data pipelines using Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms.
- Model data, validate pipeline outputs, and maintain agent performance dashboards and customer KPI reporting.
- Contribute to proofs of concept and MVPs that progress rapidly from initial concept to deployment.
- Co-build solutions with customers and partners while sharing best practices and enablement.
- Identify platform gaps, edge cases, and field insights for senior engineers and product teams.
- Partner with Deployment Strategists to translate customer business challenges into deployable agentic solutions.
- Travel approximately 25% to work directly alongside customers.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of software engineering or technical delivery experience for senior-level candidates, including production-system experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience in consulting, professional services, or forward deployed engineering is required.
- Fluency in at least one of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering.
- Deep understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with sales teams and customer architects.
- Experience shipping quality code and evaluating AI outputs with engineering rigor.
- Preferred qualifications include Salesforce platform experience or certifications such as Administrator, Platform Developer I, or Agentforce Specialist.
- Preferred qualifications include familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, orchestration patterns, Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, data engineering, platform architecture, or headless deployments.
