Base Salary
$205k - $255k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and drive gameplay systems architecture across AtomEngine.
- Provide architectural input across multiple concurrent projects.
- Collaborate closely with designers and PMs to shape features from concept through delivery.
- Implement and optimize gameplay systems using Godot, GDScript, and C++.
- Design with a deep understanding of client/server architecture and state replication.
- Partner with QA and testing teams to validate features and drive quality outcomes.
- Mentor mid and junior engineers to invest in the team's growth.
- Write and maintain clear technical documentation for long-term maintainability.
Requirements
- 7+ years of game engine or gameplay engineering experience.
- Deep familiarity with game engines like Godot, Unity, or Unreal.
- Experience shipping and supporting live service games at scale.
- Proven ability to architect complex gameplay systems.
- Track record of raising engineering quality and velocity across a team.
- Low ego and a focus on team and product improvement.
- U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract requirements.
