Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain AWS-first infrastructure across AWS, Azure, GCP, and remaining on-premises environments.
Build and maintain auditable Infrastructure as Code for cloud and on-premises deployments and support AWS migration execution.
Own disaster recovery architecture, backup strategy, recurring DR drills, resilience design, gap remediation, and documentation.
Manage cloud networking, VPC provisioning, security groups, load balancers, DNS, storage, databases, compute, and cross-account access controls.
Administer and harden Linux and Windows Server environments, including patching, performance tuning, Active Directory integration, Group Policy, DNS, certificates, and OS security baselines.
Build and evolve secure CI/CD pipelines and automation for repeatable infrastructure delivery.
Monitor and maintain production infrastructure, participate in on-call rotation, provide L2 escalation, and lead root cause analyses and incident retrospectives.
Support vulnerability management, threat detection, penetration test coordination, PHI/PII classification scanning, HIPAA and SOC 2 audit readiness, and EKS runtime security coverage.
Contribute to FinOps through cost anomaly remediation, tagging governance, and cost/performance/resilience tradeoff management.
Document architecture, runbooks, standard operating procedures, and provide infrastructure resilience and migration guidance to product teams.

At least 5 years of hands-on cloud infrastructure engineering experience with deep AWS and multi-cloud expertise.
Direct experience designing and executing disaster recovery solutions.
Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
Experience operating containerized environments and Kubernetes/EKS, including version upgrades and lifecycle management.
Linux and Windows Server administration experience, including patching and OS lifecycle management at scale.
Strong IAM design experience, including cross-account access and least-privilege enforcement.
Strong scripting ability in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and serving as an on-call and L2 infrastructure escalation point.
Preferred experience with regulated environments such as FedRAMP, HIPAA, and SOC 2.
Preferred AWS Solutions Architect or SysOps certification at the Associate or Professional level.
Preferred experience with hybrid infrastructure migration, DISA STIG or CIS benchmark hardening, vulnerability triage, FinOps, healthcare technology, and AI-assisted engineering workflows.

Remote work in the United States with work across multiple time zones in a hybrid or remote environment.
