Responsibilities
- Contribute to customer implementations across portfolio assessment, application planning and design, deployment architecture, development and build, integration and release configuration, system testing, production operations, optimization, and best-practices adoption.
- Deliver classroom-based training to architect, developer, and operations audiences.
- Collaborate with consulting engineers, project managers, and account teams.
- Build a reputation as a trusted MongoDB advisor and guide customers through successful MongoDB adoption.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to influence the MongoDB product roadmap.
- Communicate complex technical proposals and product roadmaps clearly to diverse audiences.
- Maintain the required level of billable utilization and contribute field experience to product development.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development, consulting, or support experience, preferably across multiple industries or verticals.
- Competence in at least one of Java, C#, Python, Node.js, JavaScript, Ruby, or Go.
- Experience with databases such as MongoDB, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with Linux diagnostics and tuning; Windows tuning knowledge is a plus.
- Familiarity with enterprise-scale software architectures, application development methodologies, and software deployment and operations.
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- Motivation for work combining deep technical expertise with customer management.
- Confidence speaking and presenting in collaborative customer settings.
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently for short customer-site trips, up to 15%.
- Experience working with Public Sector customers.
