Base Salary

$175k - $215k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own ML Driver tasks, improve task performance, and create scalable ML methods and recipes.
  • Analyze real-world ML system behavior, identify root causes, and develop short- and long-term solutions.
  • Develop distributed fine-tuning methods that support simultaneous contributions and prevent production regressions.
  • Monitor production ML systems and build automated issue detection, regression detection, AI-assisted analysis, and debugging tools.
  • Develop and maintain model evaluation recipes and metrics for pre-trained and fine-tuned models.
  • Work with upstream and downstream teams to develop ML models and integrate them into the Waymo Driver.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar discipline, or an equivalent amount of deep learning experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in machine learning and/or computer vision.
  • Experience with Python or C++.
  • Experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX.
