Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end solution architecture for AAA game developer accounts.
- Lead technical discovery sessions and architectural reviews for customer implementations.
- Provide expert guidance on integrating Discord's Social SDK across various game genres.
- Troubleshoot deep technical issues and propose solutions independently.
- Build trusted advisor relationships with senior technical stakeholders at partner studios.
- Anticipate partner needs and proactively propose solutions.
- Develop integration strategies that maximize the value of Discord's developer tools.
- Prepare and deliver technical updates to partner stakeholders.
- Contribute to systems and tools that evolve managed services into scalable processes.
- Author reference architectures and technical documentation.
- Identify patterns across accounts to drive product and process improvements.
- Partner closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to drive successful outcomes.
- Mentor junior team members on technical best practices and customer engagement.
Requirements
- Significant technical experience in game development with exposure to multiplayer architecture.
- Direct experience working within a game studio or game ecosystem provider.
- Track record of independently owning complex technical projects from architecture to delivery.
- Ability to read and discuss code across multiple programming languages.
- Familiarity with game engines like Unity and Unreal.
- Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts to varied audiences.
- Experience building and maintaining trusted technical relationships with external partners.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and defining scope where none exists.
