Base Salary
$213k - $263k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain efficient simulators capable of running millions of simulated miles to evaluate the safety of Waymo’s onboard models.
- Work with multimodal data processing and simulation involving cameras, lidar, and radar.
- Interface with AI and machine-learning teams developing parts of the simulation pipeline.
- Support both the rendering and simulation engine and the pipeline that enables internal customers to run SensorSim at scale.
Requirements
- Experience developing or working with 3D game engines.
- Experience approximating the real world through data simulation, including areas such as physics simulation, animation capture, light transport, photogrammetry, NeRFs, or Gaussian splats.
- Experience building efficient asset-management pipelines for data storage and processing.
- Preferred: experience working on or integrating with ML pipelines and understanding how those pipelines are trained and improved.
- Preferred: experience scaling complex data-processing pipelines and understanding synchronous versus asynchronous pipeline trade-offs.
