Responsibilities
- Define reliability, durability, scalability, and performance methodologies and goals with engineering teams.
- Address operational challenges by improving telemetry and building tools and services.
- Debug production issues across services and levels of the stack.
- Participate in design reviews and production reviews for features, products, and infrastructure components.
- Plan for the growth of Figma’s infrastructure.
- Operate and maintain AWS infrastructure.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience operating infrastructure components or services at scale.
- Strong computer science fundamentals and a strong interest in distributed systems.
- Experience managing infrastructure services in AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- A demonstrated commitment to operational security and best practices.
- A track record of diagnosing problems within complex systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and technical communication skills are a plus.
- A systematic, thorough, impact-focused approach and willingness to address high-impact infrastructure problems are a plus.
