Responsibilities
- Develop, refactor, test, deploy, maintain, and support production applications.
- Design and operate multi-cloud reliability strategies across GCP and Azure, with deep specialization in GCP infrastructure and Kubernetes platform engineering.
- Define SLO/SLI frameworks and error-budget policies tied to business KPIs, release velocity, change management, and production risk.
- Lead capacity engineering, peak readiness, traffic modeling, failover planning, and global-scale load simulation.
- Apply chaos engineering and fault injection across distributed Kubernetes-based microservices.
- Manage Akamai edge security, WAF tuning, bot mitigation, CDN performance, and complex HTTP routing.
- Build observability platforms using metrics, logs, traces, telemetry pipelines, and intelligent alerting.
- Develop Terraform infrastructure modules, policy enforcement, and automated drift detection.
- Design CI/CD pipelines with reliability gates, canary analysis, and automated rollback.
- Operate AI/ML production platforms, including model deployment, API reliability, latency optimization, and model rollbacks.
- Debug distributed systems and Java services using log correlation, trace analysis, and memory/thread profiling.
- Implement secure authentication, authorization, service-to-service identity, and zero-trust controls.
- Tune relational and NoSQL database performance and resilience.
- Develop comprehensive unit, functional, destructive, and performance testing strategies.
- Collaborate with product teams and agile stakeholders while mentoring junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a related occupation.
- At least 2 years of experience with multi-cloud reliability across GCP and Azure, including GCP services such as Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, App Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Bigtable, Memorystore, Vertex AI, BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Pub/Sub, IAM, VPC Network, Cloud DNS, Cloud NAT, Cloud Armor, Secret Manager, Cloud Trace, Cloud Monitoring, and Cloud Logging.
- Experience with Kubernetes multi-tenancy, platform engineering, SLO/SLI frameworks, error budgets, capacity engineering, chaos engineering, and high-traffic readiness.
- Experience with Akamai, WAF, bot mitigation, CDN optimization, observability platforms, Terraform, CI/CD, and automated reliability controls.
- Experience operating AI/ML production platforms and optimizing model API reliability and latency.
- Proficiency with Java, Python, Go, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript, plus distributed application design patterns and version control systems.
- Experience with authentication and authorization frameworks, relational and NoSQL databases, performance tuning, and comprehensive testing.
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to work in the United States.
