Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, scalable production software solutions.
- Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure design constraints are followed throughout development.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets to produce visualizations and reporting that improve software applications and systems.
- Identify data patterns and hidden problems to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Use authorized AI-assisted development tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs.
- Apply secure coding, resiliency, and responsible AI practices, including appropriate handling of sensitive data.
- Collaborate across teams, contribute to engineering communities of practice, and promote an inclusive team culture.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with proficient applied experience.
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages and experience maintaining code in large-scale environments.
- Experience with modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, continuous integration/continuous delivery, application resiliency, and security.
- Knowledge of a technical discipline such as cloud, Databricks, PySpark, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile technology.
- Hands-on experience using authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating AI-generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Preferred: exposure to cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, experience with Databricks and agentic AI solutions, familiarity with modern front-end technologies and frameworks, and experience in large enterprise engineering environments.
