Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end architecture for multi-tenant ordering, checkout, and fulfillment platforms serving millions of users and 100k+ requests per second.
- Own Tier-1 services and act as incident commander for high-severity, cross-team production issues.
- Drive root-cause analysis and convert incident learnings into regression coverage, safer feature flags, canary practices, and other guardrails.
- Make and defend cost, latency, throughput, and infrastructure-performance trade-offs across the stack.
- Build internal developer platforms, data platforms, and engineering tooling that improve organization-wide developer productivity.
- Design cross-organizational and cross-company integrations under hard external deadlines.
- Guide applied ML and GenAI usage in production architecture, including ranking, personalization, and LLM-based tooling.
- Define and implement long-term technology vision, establish technology and tooling best practices, and lead demanding cross-functional projects.
- Own high-level and low-level design, write code, and operate production systems.
Requirements
- 15+ years of software engineering and product delivery experience with deep, hands-on architecture ownership.
- Deep knowledge of distributed systems, including message queues, relational and NoSQL databases, caching, and container orchestration.
- Experience with Kafka, Redis, Kubernetes, query optimizer behavior, indexing strategies, and data streams.
- Track record of leading high-severity, high-traffic production incident response and disciplined 5-Whys root-cause analysis.
- Experience designing and shipping internal platforms or tools that scale developer productivity across an organization.
- Excellent data structures and algorithms knowledge and exceptional coding skills in Java or Go.
- Ability to operate across the stack, with depth in backend and data and credibility in frontend and mobile performance.
- Working fluency with applied ML and GenAI in production systems.
- Experience in high-throughput consumer businesses such as food delivery, quick commerce, fintech, or similar is preferred.
