Responsibilities
- Partner with Engineering and Product teams to embed technical privacy practices into products and services.
- Explore products and services to identify data-handling improvements and opportunities for privacy-preserving technologies.
- Identify privacy issues in system designs and implementations and drive robust remediation designs.
- Build trusted partnerships across Engineering, Legal, Policy, and other teams to integrate privacy into designs.
- Apply privacy engineering principles, culture, and standard methodologies.
- Investigate, fix, and resolve privacy incidents when needed.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience conducting technical privacy reviews to identify common failures, design patterns, and trade-offs.
- Strong privacy domain knowledge and familiarity with privacy issues in the software and systems development lifecycle.
- Ability to identify privacy and security hurdles, dependencies, and solutions in large-scale systems.
- Ability to understand business, user, and technical requirements.
- Experience collaborating with partner teams to integrate privacy into designs and working within their goals.
- Experience implementing privacy engineering principles, culture, and standard methodologies.
- Preferred: experience handling privacy incidents through investigation, fixes, and resolution.
- Preferred: familiarity with human-centric threat modeling, data anonymization, or other privacy-preserving techniques, processes, or technologies.
