Responsibilities
- Develop on-premise components, cloud microservices, and integrations with modern cloud platforms.
- Design, develop, and test architecture changes, product features, and improvements.
- Use containerization and cloud compute, networking, and storage technologies to build, deploy, and run services.
- Support product monitoring and troubleshooting to maintain quality standards.
- Contribute to development best practices, standards, peer reviews, and secure development practices.
- Collaborate with other teams to improve products, services, and tools.
- Complete required company-wide and role-specific training, including QMS, ISMS, GxP, DocuSign, and SDLC training as applicable.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 6/7+ years of experience in a similar backend development role.
- Extensive Java experience and strong experience with the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring Cloud Gateway, Spring Cloud Streams, Spring Security/OAuth2, and Spring Data.
- Experience with event-driven architecture, Apache Kafka, distributed caching such as Hazelcast, web services, microservices, and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with CI/CD solutions, testing frameworks, build tools, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Cloud, MongoDB Atlas, Mongo Lucene, Terraform, Skaffold, and Helm.
- Experience with Claude Code; familiarity with the BMAD method is a plus.
- Knowledge of other programming languages, including Python and JavaScript.
- Previous experience working in a regulated environment.
- Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, communicate with stakeholders, deliver quality work at pace, and learn and innovate.
