Responsibilities
- Own the enterprise Infrastructure as Code strategy, standards, governance, and adoption roadmap.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable infrastructure automation across hosted platforms.
- Build reusable modules, templates, blueprints, and self-service infrastructure automation capabilities.
- Develop automation using Ansible, Terraform/OpenTofu, Puppet, Rundeck, Python, or related technologies.
- Design APIs and integrations for infrastructure orchestration, provisioning, and platform services.
- Drive CI/CD, security, compliance, testing, and deployment automation for infrastructure delivery.
- Partner with platform product teams to accelerate IaC adoption and productize infrastructure capabilities.
- Create documentation, reference architectures, training materials, and enablement programs.
- Apply responsible AI, security controls, governance, and risk management within enterprise automation platforms.
- Use cross-domain knowledge of compute, networking, storage, security, identity, cloud, and infrastructure services to improve operational resilience.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code principles, patterns, and engineering practices.
- At least 3 years of experience is preferred.
- Experience building infrastructure automation with Ansible, Terraform/OpenTofu, Env0, Puppet, or equivalent platforms.
- Demonstrated success establishing and scaling enterprise infrastructure automation initiatives.
- Strong software engineering practices involving maintainability, testing, version control, and automation.
- Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments.
- Knowledge of Git-based development workflows, branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews.
- Experience building reusable modules, templates, and shared automation services.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, security, identity management, and platform services.
- Experience with continuous collaborative pair programming.
- Ability to influence engineering teams, drive adoption of technical standards, and balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Preferred experience integrating LLMs, MCPs, AI agents, Copilot technologies, or workflow automation platforms into infrastructure engineering solutions.
- Preferred experience building AI-native infrastructure platforms with intelligent code generation, automated testing, policy validation, self-healing workflows, and predictive operational insights.
- Preferred experience enabling self-service through platform engineering or developer platforms.
