Responsibilities

  • Manage developer support through approximately equal volumes of Slack threads and tickets.
  • Triage and troubleshoot build failures, broken pipelines, dependency issues, configuration errors, packaging problems, and artifact issues.
  • Investigate Maven, Java, Docker, Artifactory, Jenkins, and Spinnaker problems and support incidents through resolution.
  • Classify issues, meet time-based SLAs, manage multiple concurrent interactions, and escalate only after thorough investigation.
  • Prepare complete escalation tickets with logs, reproduction steps, build metadata, and relevant context.
  • Maintain FAQs, internal documentation, and problem-solution guides for recurring issues.
  • Participate in weekly reviews of escalated tickets and use lower ticket-volume periods for documentation and pull requests.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in Build/Release Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or software development.
  • Proficiency with Git, CI/CD tooling, build and release engineering fundamentals, Maven or Gradle, Java build tooling, and software supply chain workflows.
  • Experience supporting artifact repositories such as Artifactory or Nexus and deployment orchestration such as Spinnaker.
  • Strong troubleshooting, written and spoken communication, and SDLC understanding.
  • Strong Linux and Unix command-line skills, scripting with Python or Bash, and container knowledge with Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI is required.
  • Prior SRE experience and familiarity with Prometheus or Grafana are nice-to-have qualifications.
