Responsibilities
- Own and evolve Alan’s multi-cloud foundations and Infrastructure-as-Code architecture.
- Operate and improve data and application platforms including PostgreSQL/Aurora, event pipelines, asynchronous workloads, and database migration tooling.
- Build automation and internal or external tooling such as APIs, developer portals, web interfaces, command-line tools, and configuration-as-code systems.
- Own platform uptime and latency objectives, observability, incident response, on-call practices, and operational excellence.
- Improve infrastructure cost management, IAM posture, backup and disaster recovery, governance, and compliance enablement.
- Write, deploy, and operate production code and reusable infrastructure patterns using Python, TypeScript, and Terraform.
- Use AI assistants for incident investigation, runbook execution, troubleshooting, and toil reduction.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or equivalent roles.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS or GCP.
- Ability to write automation and tooling and willingness to work with Python and TypeScript; prior experience with both is not required.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, alerting, or incident management tools and practices.
- Ability to design and implement robust infrastructure systems focused on reliability and observability.
- Ability to maintain uptime targets while optimizing infrastructure costs.
- Experience building and maintaining internal or external tooling for engineers.
- Hands-on experience with production rollouts, alerting, on-call, and incident response is valued.
- Fluent English is required; French is not required.
- High potential, curiosity, and an infrastructure-as-product mindset are valued.
