Responsibilities
- Ensure service excellence and maintain scalable technical foundations using Java, Python, MySQL, NSQ, AWS, OpenSearch, and Redis.
- Lead complex product and technical roadmaps, engineering projects, distributed-systems initiatives, and technical direction.
- Design, create, maintain, and improve access-platform solutions operating at internet scale.
- Identify technical debt, performance bottlenecks, reliability risks, and larger initiatives requiring prioritization.
- Own cross-organizational projects and architecture while building consensus and mitigating delivery risk.
- Mentor engineers through pairing, documentation, workshops, code reviews, and technical guidance.
- Improve monitoring and alerting practices and serve as a first line of defense for outages and bugs during support duty.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience developing and supporting software in a production environment.
- At least 5 years of programming experience in an object-oriented language such as Java, Python, C#, or C++.
- At least 3 years of experience leading engineering projects and initiatives involving distributed systems, reliable services, technical prioritization, or technical vision.
- Professional English proficiency in verbal and written communication.
- Preferred: at least 5 years developing and supporting scalable, distributed backend services.
- Preferred: experience with cloud computing technologies such as AWS or GCP.
- Preferred: 3 years working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Preferred: professional Polish proficiency in verbal and written communication.
